About Everyday Tools
A small set of tools that each do one everyday job with a file, inside your browser.
Why it exists
Converting a photo or merging two PDFs should not mean uploading private documents to a stranger's server, creating an account, or waiting behind a countdown. Browsers can now run real engines (FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, libheif, pdf-lib) on your own device, so these tools do exactly that.
What is here
Video to MP3 pulls the audio out of a video and turns MOV or WebM into MP4. HEIC to JPG makes iPhone photos open anywhere. Compress image makes a photo smaller and shows the size before you download. Merge PDF combines PDFs in the order you choose.
The rules we keep
Files never leave your device. Limits are written above the drop zone, before you start. A failure is one sentence that says why, with the technical log folded away. No watermark, no sign-up wall, no fake urgency. These are written down as promises, each with a way to check it, and a broken one is treated as a bug.
Who makes it
Everyday Tools is built and run by one independent developer. The site is free; it may carry one ad per tool page in the future, away from the tools, to pay for hosting. Suggestions, bug reports and requests for a tool are welcome on the contact page.
